FAQ

When is a wireless bridge better than fiber?

When trenching is impossible or too costly: the HS-CPE510 pair links buildings, gates or remote cameras over the air at 5.8 GHz, covering up to 2 km point-to-point with the built-in 10 dBi directional antenna. Deployment takes an afternoon instead of a construction permit, and the pair ships with PoE injectors included.

What throughput and modes does it support?

The 802.11a/n radio reaches up to 144 Mbps link rate at 5.8 GHz, clean of 2.4 GHz interference. Point-to-point suits a single building-to-building link, while point-to-multipoint connects several remote sites back to one mast. A video-optimized protocol prioritizes CCTV traffic, keeping aerial camera streams stable even at distance.

How is it powered and what conditions does it survive?

Each unit runs on 24 V 1 A PoE over its LAN cable (48 V 0.5 A optional), consuming at most 8 W — injectors are included. The white outdoor housing is weather-protected, and the operating range of -30 to +65 °C covers hot roofs and cold masts. Zero-configuration pairing gets the link up without a laptop; 1-year warranty.
