What does the HS-2U-14S rack do?
It collects up to fourteen standalone HS media converters into one 2U 19-inch shelf, replacing a tangle of wall warts and loose boxes with a tidy rack unit. Each slot feeds its converter independently from the shared power system, so a single failed converter can be swapped without touching the rest of the rack.
How does the redundant power system work?
Two power supplies run in parallel with automatic failover: if one PSU fails, the other instantly carries the whole rack, and the faulty module is replaced without downtime. Input is wide-range AC 85–265 V, and the shared output is DC 5 V at up to 16 A with ripple below 50 mV — enough for fourteen gigabit converters.
Which converters fit, and what are the dimensions?
It accepts our standalone-type converters in the standard 94 × 71 × 26 mm housing — the HS-1F1E, HS-1G1E and similar models slide straight in. The rack measures 485 × 245 × 90 mm, weighs 4.3 kg and occupies 2U of a 19-inch cabinet. If you prefer card-based modules with hot-swap, the HS-2U-16S is the matching chassis. Warranty: 2 years.
