The HS-1F1E extends your LAN over fiber with 1 × SC fiber port + 1 × RJ45 — a Fast Ethernet solution for point-to-point fiber links between switches, routers and remote equipment. Store-and-forward switching, auto-negotiation and MDI/MDI-X keep installation plug-and-play; the metal housing mounts on walls or in cabinets. Multimode 550 m to single-mode 120 km optics available — send the distance and port count for an exact quote.

Which fiber version should I order — dual fiber or single fiber?
Choose according to your cabling and distance. Dual-fiber models (HS-1F1E-S20) use two strands and reach 20 km on single-mode fiber; multi-mode versions cover 2 km. Single-fiber WDM models transmit at 1310 nm one way and 1550 nm the other over one strand and must be ordered as an A/B pair — one end A, the other end B. Distances of 40 to 100 km are available on request.

Yes — with auto-negotiation and Auto-MDI/MDI-X you only connect the fiber and the network cable; the PWR, TP and FX LEDs confirm the link.
