The HS-9FEP is a Fast Ethernet PoE media converter: 9 × fiber + 1 × 10/100 PoE copper port (802.3af/at). It delivers power and data to one camera or access point over a single cable while bridging the link onto fiber — the compact answer for powering edge devices at the far end of a fiber run. How many devices can the HS-9FEP feed?
Eight PoE ports carry 802.3af or 802.3at loads — up to 15.4 W or 30 W per port respectively — with a ninth 10/100M port dedicated to the uplink. The 65 W total budget suits a cluster of fixed cameras, a mix of cameras and APs, or several at-class devices in shops, offices and small parking lots.
What management features does it include?
The Realtek chipset provides a 2K MAC table and 1.8 Gbps backplane with VLAN customization and broadcast-storm control, so camera and uplink traffic can be segregated at order time — tell us your VLAN plan and we ship it pre-configured. Every port also carries 4 kV lightning protection for cabinet and pole installs.
Which power adapter should I choose?
The default package includes a 52 V 1.25 A adapter, which is fine for typical af loads. If you will run several 25–30 W at-class devices simultaneously — PTZ cameras, for example — order the optional 52 V 2.5 A adapter so the full 65 W budget is actually available at load. The switch itself draws 2.2–7.5 W excluding PoE; warranty is 1 year.
