It doubles the capacity of a fiber plant where spare strands are scarce: transmit and receive share one single-mode strand via 1310/1550 nm coarse WDM, carrying full-duplex gigabit over 20 km on a single LC connector. They always work in mirrored pairs: model A transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1550 nm, model B the reverse, so every link needs exactly one of each — one at each end. Insert them hot, connect the single strand, and use DDM diagnostics (SFF-8472) to monitor TX power and receive levels from the host switch.

Yes. They run in our own media converters and switches, and in Cisco, Huawei or H3C slots with brand-specific compatibility coding, which we apply on request at order time. Reach options cover 20, 40, 60 and 80 km, with TX power of -8 to -3 dBm and receiver sensitivity of -24 dBm; an industrial temperature grade is optional.
