Product Overview
The HS-1G4E extends your LAN over fiber with 1 × SC fiber port + 4 × RJ45 — a gigabit solution for point-to-point fiber links between switches, routers and remote equipment. Store-and-forward switching, auto-negotiation and MDI/MDI-X keep installation plug-and-play; the metal housing mounts on walls or in cabinets. Multimode 550 m to single-mode 120 km optics available — send the distance and port count for an exact quote.

What is the HS-1G4E used for?
It is a compact fiber aggregation switch: one 1.25G SC fiber uplink switching with four gigabit RJ45 ports. It suits small CCTV clusters, building risers and office nodes where a few cameras or access points need gigabit service plus a fiber run back to the core — all in a fanless metal case with QoS, VLAN and broadcast-storm protection.
Which fiber options does it offer?
The SC uplink is dual-fiber by default with 20 km (S20) or 40 km (S40) reach, and single-fiber WDM A/B versions also cover 20 and 40 km — again ordered as an A/B pair for the two ends. Wavelengths of 850, 1310, 1490 and 1550 nm are supported, from 550 m multi-mode up to 100 km single-mode; FC or ST connectors are optional.
Does it need configuration or cooling?
It is largely plug and play: the switch chip provides QoS, 802.1Q VLAN and broadcast-storm control out of the box, with an 8K MAC table, 1 Mbit buffer and sub-10-microsecond latency. Cooling is fanless via the metal heat-sink housing, and power is a standard AC 100–240 V adapter with a DC 5 V socket also available. The warranty is 1 year.
