The standard size of the metal strip was originally defined in the German "DeutschesInstitutfürNormung" (DIN) published specifications, and was later adopted as European (EN) and international (IEC) standards.
Since DIN Rail is a globally recognized standard, users can use various components. Relays, contactors, multipliers, circuit breakers, power supplies and other system components can be easily installed on the practical 35mm rail. DIN rail power supplies are commonly used in control panels and electrical cabinets to provide industry standard 12V, 24V or 48VDC.
