HS 8TX is an unmanagable fast industrial Ethernet network switch with 8 100M 10/100Base-TX auto-adaptive Ethernet RJ45 ports. It has a wide DC power input design (12 – 48VDC) to allow for all types of applications such as on-vehicle or panel designs. There are 2 individual LED indicators for rach port to indicate the link status and transmission speed. This ruggedized unmanaged industrial Ethernet model also supports Auto MDI/MDI-X function.

3. Managed or Unmanaged.

Unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches are relatively with lower costs and there is no need for any configuration. However, they are not able to offer real time status monitor so it’s difficult to troubleshoot the netwotk if there is faulty. If the network requires no such configuration and monitor, then an unmanaged switch would be enough. If the network administrator has to monitor and manage all the other network devices connected, then you will have to need a managed type.

4. Connector Types

After the cabling and installation finished, it would be difficult to correct the cable types and connector types. Most of the switches are designed with SC connectors as default.

There are both single fiber and dual fiber optional under SC types. If the network installation requires constant adjustment on the locations and distances covered, then SFP type might be a better choice for you as you can adjust different types of SFP modules according to the current needs.

5. Power over Ethernet (PoE)

In many of industrial network applications, it would be impossible to arrange additional power socket or power cables for the Ethernet-enabled devices. In those cases, POE industrial Ethernet switch would help to solve this problem perfectly. 6. Power Redundancy

Industrial Ethernet switches support a number of features that enable redundant power supply in your network.
