The HS 1F1EP is 100M POE media converter. POE media converters converts between copper and fiber while providing power over Ethernet to ending devices connected. Those devices include IP cameras, IP phones, routers or access points. POE media converters and switches are defined as Power Sourcing Equipment(PSE). Basically speaking, POE media converter is a combination of fiber to Ethernet media converter and POE injector. It’s like both devices in the same equipment.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology (including PoE+) provides power for the ending equipments. It supplies both power and data over copper cables. The technology enables the powering of ending equipments without any influence on the data transmission. Poe technology enables both power supply and data transmission on the same cable. Thus, there is no need for any extra cabling for the IP cameras, IP phones, routers or access points.
Media converters are developed to extend the data transmission distance by converting between Ethernet signal and optical signal. By the transition from copper cables to fiber optic cables it can extend the transmission distance to be 120KM at most. POE media converters provide all the advantages of POE and at the same time it plays the best of fiber optic cablings. HS 1F1EP is a 100M POE media converter with 1 fiber ports and 1 RJ45 POE port. We offer both single mode and multi mode. For single mode, there is also single fiber and dual fiber. And it covers distance from 20KM to 120KM.
With the same size as normal non-POE media converters, HS POE media converters are with compact size which is suitable for all kinds of network environments. We focus on 48V standard POE devices which can detect before the power supply. It’s standard and smart POE, without any risk to burn the ending devices. Overview
The HS-1F1EP is a 10/100Mbps adaptive media converter. It can transfer 100Base-TX of electrical signals to 100Base-FX of optical signals. It can extend the transmission distance from 100m to 120km via copper cables.
