The HS 5FE is a 10/100 Ethernet Switch for FTTH desktop installation. HS 5FE is with 5 10/100Mbps RJ45 ports; as a switching hub, it shares 1 Ethernet cable with otrher 4 terminal devices such as computer, router or switch, etc..
In a switch based network, packets are transmitted through broadcast. Each terminal device will verify the MAC address received, and the packets will be received only under the condition that the MAC addresses are the same from both receiver and transmitter.
HS 5 port 10/100Mbps switch hub offers an easy expansion for the Ethernet network by plugging in the Ethernet cables and connecting the power adapters. No configuration is needed at all; it’s real plug and play. It can be used to connect with printers or scanners in the office, as well as other backup devices to transmit datas or even connect multiple gaming devices to form a small gaming party.
