The HS 2G4FEP is 1000M POE switch with 1 1000M fiber port and 4 10/100Mbps RJ45 POE ports. We also offer all ports gigabit for higher speed demand networks. It’s suitable for the network which requires cascading switches as well as power supply for 1-4 ending devices.


POE switches offers power supply through Ethernet cables on the basis of normal non-POE functions. There are 2 kinds of POE switches, standard POE and non-standard POE. Non-standard POE switches get outdated with the development of technology. There is big risk of burning as it gives power as soon as ending equipment is connected to it. For standard POE, there is automatic detection before the power supply. It will detect if the ending equipment can bear the power supply or not; it can also detect if power supply is really needed. In this way, there will not risk of buring from compulsive powering.


Most of the current IP cemeras support to be powered with POE switches. So there is no need to arrange extra wiring as normal non-POE switches and it’s more reliable for the IP cameras as there is smart detection before power supply. Without the extra labor work and cost on the cabling, POE switches also help to save lots of money and time. If any changes need to be made for the locations of the IP cameras, it’s also easier for maintance and upgrade as there is no need to worry about the power socket.

Overview

The HS-2G4FEP is a POE switch designed for network monitoring. It has four 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports and two 1.25Gbps fiber ports. It is designed with imported Marvell chip to achieve lower power consumption and high stability. It extends the transmission distance of a network from 100m to120km via copper cables. There are also many other advantages such as isolation protection, good data security, working stability and easy maintenance.
