The HS 1G8E is a 8 port gigabit fiber optic switch with 1 1000M fiber port and 8 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 ports. Both SC and SFP connector types are available for this model. 1F8E is 100M switch version and 1G8E is the gigabit switch version. After non-stop research, HS developed mature production line of fiber optic switches. End users can choose the auitable model according to their current network needs.


What Is the Difference Between Gigabit Switch And Fast Ethernet Switch?

Except the transfer speed difference and improved performance, the Gigabit fiber optic switch differs from Fast fiber optic switch from the following aspects.


  • Cost

The HS-1G8E is an Ethernet Fiber Switch which is specially designed for network monitoring. It has eight 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports and one 1.25Gbps fiber port. It adopts imported Marvell chips to ensure low power consumption and high stability. It extends the transmission distance of a network from 100m to 120km via copper cables. There are also many other advantages such as isolation protection, good data security, working stability and easy maintenance.
